There's gotta be more to life!

Oh my blog, how I miss theee….I actually wanted to update it, a lot of things have happened and I will try to share it with you in the coming days. I guess the most pivotal is visiting home 3 times within the past 4 months. The place where I belong and love is real. It’s really surprising, even our dogs were mesmerized with my sudden chance. I guess it comes with the age…lol or should I say I become part of the animal kingdom with the highest stage of brain surgery…mature..lol. As you grow old spending time with your family matter most. Life is short, this is the best way to live the so called life. Along with those long home vacations which mostly spent at home and the beach, I was able to write some sensible in  a most acceptable manner that my 16 gig brain cells can do. 1. Say Thank you a lot. This is truly one of the most powerful, underrated phrases in the English language. It packs a heck of a punch, encompassing positivity and impact in two little syllables. ...

Pahiyas Festival 2011

MANILA, Philippines — The Pahiyas Festival is one of the most popular, colorful, and lavish events in the Philippines. Held annually in the farming town of Lucban, Quezon, it is the local folks’ gesture of thanksgiving for a rich and bountiful harvest. Lucban is located on the foothills of Mount Banahaw. The festival, whose name is derived from “hiyas,” started as the local farmers’ celebration of harvest in honor of San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of farmers, peasants, and laborers. It began as a simple offering to the “anito” (pagan god) to invoke a bountiful harvest. The farmers and their families would gather their crops inside the small worship place where they would celebrate with food and a local drink derived from coconut. Over a century later, the local folks, incorporating their Christian faith into local practices, brought their finest crops to a much bigger church where the priest would bless and offer the crops in thanksgiving. Summer Love-photo diary

As the sun dance to its own music and the sun worshiper trance with the joy it brings .I finally started my own way of sun dance. I packed my bags and armed myself with sunny attitude to start my summer love sweet escape. I’m such a sun worshiper. I love the heat as it envelopes me as I walk outside. The sound of waves, salty air, the clear skies, blazing sun, the gentle summer breeze, and the lazy afternoons flavor the season with passion and warm love.  This is just the start of my summer adventure; so much wonderful things happened to me with my vacation so expect a part 2 of my summer photo diary and next week I’ll be visiting old churches with a good friend and mid of this month I’ll be heading to Pahiyas Festival - a thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest with a grand display of colorful rice wafers, fruits, vegetables, and handicrafts adorning every house in the town…perfect for my lovely camera:) A life without summer is like a life without love…so life is short and lif...
