Let it go!

Yes, I went away for an extended holiday with my love…this blog with the full intention just to give more time for myself, to enjoy every moment of so called life and to straighten up some little issues.

I don’t know exactly what happened, except that I was literally in a different world and I was having a good relationship with my bed. It was soo beautiful.

To be honest, I did not feel like touching my laptop. I felt out of groove, out of touch with reality.  My depression wouldn't go away. I don’t want to simply post an excuse...“I just don’t have time” the lazy procrastination monster.  I knew there were things to be taken care of, I was even questioning if there was a purpose to it all.

This post is probably really boring. I think its okay, it’s not like I have a professional blog right? I can choose to be a little self-indulgent:) I was scared to look at my blog. Fearing all the fellow bloggers have given up on me.  It’s no fun without having supportive, kind fellow bloggers who actually take the time out to read but comment. Hope you are reading this :)

Weeks after weeks, I tried to start something new, something that would bring back my sunny side. I started to eat fruits and vegetables. I even tried the motors diet. Yes, it was successful for only 2 dumb weeks! I’m not good in sanctioning my life! I’m just good in taking pictures and uploading it on my Instagram account.

I even set my foot inside a gym. Enrolled for one month, got my personal trainer and so far so good. I actually don’t consider myself to be in bad shape. Though it’s a joke among my close friends that having me along for a brisk walk is akin to walking poodle, I indulge in a poodle-like perambulation on an almost daily basis.

But there is one thing that I want to do. I want the heat envelope me as I walk outside, hear the sounds of waves, smell that salty air with clear skies, blazing sun, that gentle summer breeze, and  lazy afternoons.

I want to go to the beach!

Summer is kind of like the ultimate one-night stand: hot as hell, totally thrilling, and gone

  9. Ups and downs and it comes even when we write. The best thing is that you want to help yourself with whatever is bothering you. I go to the beach when I need to recollect and think of what to do next. I don't bother swimming. I sit down on a beach chair, eat, sleep, and listen to the waves.

  11. I want to go to the beach too! :)
We can all be selfish when it comes to our blogs. I mean, this is your own space. You can write whatever you want here and post whatever you feel like posting whether or not other people will read it; heck, i know more than half the people who visit and comment on blogs don't really care about what we write and talk about. So take your time. If you don't want to write, don't. I always think quality is better than quantity (which I find is lacking in many blogs these days). And btw, going on a digital sabbatical is always a good idea to get your creative juices flowing again. :)

  13. I hope you ended up going to the beach! (although you did mention it in your comment to me) Everyone can be self indulgent at any time on any day. I hope you're able to recharge your batteries after some good fun in the sun and relaxing on the waters.

There are really times we get to feel down and dont feel like the gods are with us, but cant be like that forever because life is too beautiful to waste on sulking and depression. I hope you post about your Palawan trip with your mom and sib :D

Happy Halloween

Halloween here in the Philippines is not like the Halloween in the Western countries. Although it’s a big holiday (comparable to Christmas here), we celebrate it in a different manner. Halloween in the Philippines lasts from the eve of October 31 (or even before this day) to November 2. Due to our strong Catholic background, Nov. 1 and Nov. 2 are spent remembering our dead loved ones and these dates will usually find most of us in one place only: the cemetery or the memorial park. We don’t celebrate it with pumpkins or trick-or-treats (although this Western tradition is sometimes practiced in some families / subdivisions here). We celebrate it through candles, flowers, prayers and a visit to the cemetery. You might think we have a very boring Halloween here. I mean, cemeteries, graves, prayers, etc. make it look like a serious affair. Not so. Spending Halloween in the cemeteries is a fun event. It’s like a mini-reunion for families and friends alike, a chance to have fellowship with

Starbucks Planner 2012- time to ingest gallons of caffeine!

I don’t have a problem with caffeine. I have a problem without caffeine…oh yes! I’m a self confessed coffee-holic. Last year, I suffered from gastritis due to over consumption of coffee but it didn’t stop me, my blood type is coffee and caffeine isn’t a drug, it’s a vitamin.:) So I switched to decaffeinated coffee (decaf). This coffee has less caffeine or 97% of its caffeine has been removed. It works with me. I no longer suffer from inflammation… goodbye antacids. I must admit that I love Starbucks,  (aaminin ko to, na-eenjoy ko talaga yung kape ng Starbucks bakit ba…social climber..OO ako na..hahaha.) so I often spend my rest day at WalterMart Makati Starbucks with a good book. Since it’s the nearest branch at di msyado maraming otaw…di magulo. Apart from their coffee, I’m a big fun of the yearly planner. Not for me but for my sister.  She has been receiving this gift from me for 3 years in a row na. sosyal at katapos back to 3 in 1 brown coffee na ulit...lol So by tomorrow, C
